NetZealous LLC, a professional trainings provider in the areas of regulatory compliance, human resources, healthcare and IT, offers trainings for professionals in the field of medical devices on ways of preparing, responding and litigating court cases relating to drugs and medical devices.
One of the important learnings that those in medical devices need to have is the legal one. If the hairsplitting technical aspects of getting all aspects of their medical devices right is one major challenge; medical device professionals need to also make sure that they get the legal aspects of their practice right. Many medical devices invite litigation when their product is found to be defective. These actions from consumers or others have the ability to pull the medical device company down, since these litigations are very expensive and time-consuming. NetZealous LLC, through its trainings, help professionals in this field overcome the challenges relating to the legal aspects of their products.
Satisha Naraharimurthy, Founder and CEO of NetZealous LLC, says that litigation is a very expensive exercise that can severely affect the fortunes of a medical device company. “When a device goes wrong for whatever reason; the medical device company suffers immensely. The costs of a court case are very high in every way and from every angle. It is in the interests of the medical device company, as well as the industry as a whole, to ensure that the steps needed for preventing such a calamitous event are taken at the right time and by the right people in the company. Our trainings aim to help participants achieve this”, he said.
“Expensive and long drawn out litigation is a headache every medical device organization strives to avoid. This can drain them financially, physically and emotionally. There are some simple tools and techniques that medical device professionals can implement to avoid such a scenario. They need to put safeguards that help them prevent legal issues arising from wrong actions. These are in the form of understanding design defects, understanding ways of signaling warnings about an upcoming imminent action, and adapting a set of standard practices to anticipate legal problems and taking steps to prevent them. Our trainings offer these to our participants. The result is that once they get these right; they are secure about the fact that legal issues will not hamper their normal work”, said Shahanshah Manzoor, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at NetZealous LLC.
Liju Mathew, Co-Founder and Chief Business Development Officer at NetZealous LLC says that the steps that medical device companies can take to avoid legal entanglements are not commonly known, because if they were; all medical companies would have implemented them. “Our trainings offer them very tangible solutions in the form of tools and techniques needed for forestalling legal problems with medical devices. Knowledge of the relevant law is one aspect of these trainings. In addition, they also impart to participants the not so well-known design control, label review and product launch strategies that help them manage these issues. They also need to know what kind of legal professional from whom to seek help, so that they lower their legal risk. These trainings help medical device professionals understand the ways of implementing these into their practice. As a result, medical device companies are relieved of a major nuisance”, he said.
