A revolutionary new mobile app will change the way Canadians stay safe
London, ON: An award-winning mobile Progressive Alarm Delivery and Alarm Response Confirmation Platform that lets users send for help simply by shaking their phone is now available in Canada. The webeyeSOS app can protect anyone in a vulnerable situation – from youth and students to people working in remote areas, confined spaces, or alone after hours.
“We see this as a critical service, because it protects the people important to us,” says Rene Beaulieu of SECURaGLOBE Solutions, Inc., the company bringing webeyeSOS to North America.
The user installs the app on their phone and designates a safety monitor – friends, family, employer or a central monitoring station – to receive any distress calls. When in danger, the user simply shakes their phone to send a distress signal to the monitor’s phone or computer. The signal emits a loud alarm, maps their location, and plays a 10-second sound recording so that the monitor can hear what’s happening on the other side. The app lets the user know that help is on the way and tracks their movements until the situation is resolved.
Other important features include:
· A man-down function that sends a distress signal if the user stops moving.
· The Webeye CMS platform, winner of Corporate Vision magazine’s Global Product & Service Award for Best Cloud Security Software in 2015.
“With no hardware costs, this app is an inexpensive and revolutionary use of cloud technology that keeps people safe and ultimately delivers peace of mind.” says Beaulieu
