Newport, OR – Oct. 28, 2016 – George Valenzuela, president of The Olde Telephone Company, announced that the store specializes in historic, museum quality antique phones and replacement parts, and offers expert appraisals.
“The Olde Telephone Company specializes in providing replacement parts and pieces for the restoration of antique telephones,” said Valenzuela.
Parts are available for multiple types of antique and historic telephones ranging from Automatic Electric, Western Electric and Kellogg to Stromberg Carlson and a wide variety of others. The store’s scope encompasses candlestick telephones, wall phones and desk sets up to the year 1940.
Original parts are available for those who want their antique phones restored to pristine beauty and appearance. The Olde Telephone Company also has a number of reproduction parts for phone enthusiasts who want to maintain the antique look when an original part isn’t available or the client desires a less costly alternative.
The telephone revolutionized the way people around the world communicate and has evolved significantly since its introduction. The Olde Telephone Company can accommodate collectors with multiple types of restoration parts and entirely original models that have been carefully restored to maintain their look and functionality.
The earliest phones were wooden models mounted to the wall and powered by a self-contained battery, an especially important development for people in rural areas. Those phones gave way to the two-piece candlestick models. The Olde Telephone Company has multiple phones from which to choose, even highly collectible models dating to the 1890s.
Wall phones with rotary dials and some that were designed with intercoms are available at the specialty company. Phone aficionados will discover a rare tandem model with a height of 41 inches featuring a milk bottle receiver and of special interest to collectors is the company’s unique Baird Secret Service wall set.
Phones have played an integral role in the growth of nations around the world and The Olde Telephone Company specializes in replacement parts and already restored models from the 1890s and beyond. The store is one of a select few that has phones and parts for those with a love of antiques, nostalgia, and historical artifacts.
