Integrated digital marketing and design agency Vine Multimedia is delighted to announce Resource Assistance for Youth (RaY) as the winner of its 'Start a Movement' sweepstakes contest. The Winnipeg-based organization will receive a complimentary digital marketing makeover valued at $7500.
Vine Multimedia received a strong response to the contest. Small business and organization owners from all over the continent applied for the opportunity to elevate their online presence and generate highly-qualified leads at a fraction of the usual cost.
Alex, Director of Communications and Development with Resource Assistance for Youth (RaY) says, "We're thrilled to have won the "BIG 'Ol Prize" through Vine Multimedia. We can't wait to work such a dynamic team that can help us take our communications and marketing to the next level!"
Resource Assistance for Youth (RaY) is a street-level organization dedicated to helping youth and young adults find a way back from homelessness. Street youth are the fastest growing segment of the Canadian homeless population, and are typically forced onto the streets after being kicked out or escaping violent abuse.
Providing the resources and support needed to better these lives, RaY's continuum of services includes emergency services; counselling for youth with mental illness and addiction issues; trained advocates to help young adults find employment; food and clothing banks; and housing assistance. Speaking on RaY's victory, Joseph Ranseth (@JosephRanseth), founder of Vine Multimedia, said: "We are very excited to work with Resource Assistance for Youth and look forward to providing them with a new website and online marketing strategy that will support their mission to help homeless and at-risk youth on the streets in Winnipeg.
"We truly feel this is a triple victory. The winner of the contest wasn't just a business wanting to make more sales. It was a local non-profit that is doing fantastic work in our community. It's a win for us, for them, and for Winnipeg."
A recent publication by The Homeless Hub Press revealed that more than 235,000 Canadians have been homeless during 2015, with youths aged 16-24 accounting for 20% of the homeless population. In Manitoba, organizations like RaY take a proactive approach to this social dilemma.
RaY will be hosting 'The Coldest Night of the Year' on February 21, 2015, where sponsored participants will participate in one of the two, five, or ten kilometre walks hosted in 80 plus cities across Canada. All money raised will be donated to RaY's support of the hungry, homeless, and hurting in Winnipeg. Those interested in helping RaY reach their $50,000 goal can register to walk, volunteer, or download a pledge form at www.rayinc.ca.
