Staten Island, NY –Lawyers are the best when it comes to dealing with wills and estates as stated by Savona law, as they have been trained and they are the best people to interpret the law. They also are able to instruct and advise lay people as to all aspects regarding the law. They also have their knowledge updated as they need a practicing certificate which needs to be current and they have to renew it every year.
As per Savona law (http://www.savonalaw.com/) these lawyers also need to abide by the rules of professional conduct and they need to go by the rules and regulations of legal practices. Therefore, with regards wills, they are the best to advise the clients.
The reason a will is usually drawn up is to allocate assets and belongings after the person’s death to whomever they want them to have. The will also is used at times so that children who are not of age can have a guardian appointed.
Savona Law informs that lawyers are familiar with legal traps or with techniques of drafting of wills and based on the instructions of their clients they draw up the will which will comply with these instructions. They also explain the legal effects and the implications before it is executed.
The lawyer also needs to ensure that the person who is making the will is of sound mind and they understand the implications, as well as their memory, has not failed.
The lawyer also keeps a copy of the will in a fireproof filing cabinet once the will has been signed by the testator.
As per Savona Law, when drafting the will, the lawyer also considers the circumstances with relation to the property, for example, changes in the will. They also explain effects of marriage on wills, the international legal aspects as well as the impact on inflation on cash gifts.
The lawyer has the most important duty of ensuring that the will is properly not only witnessed but executed too,
