The Stainless Steel Colander that Pro Chef Kitchen Tools offers have been on Amazon since 2015 and have since sold thousands of units. The 150+ positive reviews on Amazon have proven it to be a 5 star worthy product.
One reviewer offered a great review where she described how beneficial the colander base was as it ensured food didn’t sit in the water that was meant to be drained out of it. “The base on its bottom is an excellent feature that allows the colander to stand on its own while having something poured into it, and also prevents the food in it from sitting in the water you are draining and/or running through it.” The reviewer titled her review “It does as it should.”
A second reviewer described this colander as a “must have in any kitchen” stating that she will never use another plastic colander again. “I like this stainless steel colander so much that I will probably never use another plastic one again. I've only ever used plastic colanders and they tend to show a lot of wear after awhile. Plastic colanders also stain very easily and are hard to clean sometimes. Since this colander is made of stainless steel, it is scratch and rust resistant, so it will last a lot longer than plastic ones.” The reviewer titled her review “ Best Colander!”
It is important to note that in order to eliminate major health concerns related to the use of plastic and low quality stainless steels, Pro Chef Kitchen Tools have constructed their colander from high grade stainless steel and have eliminated all plastic components. One customer said “I'm trying to get away from using plastic products because of the BPA's which are linked to cancer. I saw this stainless steel colander and thought this would be a good replacement for my old Tupperware one. It's lightweight, but sturdy, and offered at a fair price.” The reviewer titled her review Attractive and affordable colander.”
Overall, the reviews found on Amazon focus on how well this product works, how easy it is to clean, and its affordability. As with any product launch, it is always great to have such positive feedback from users.
