As kids have moved to college or to live on their own, parents are left with cherished memories as well as spare bedrooms and potential extra space in their homes. To help parents fill the void, PODS of Houston offers empty nesters new ideas about how to make better use of the newly vacated bedrooms while preserving childhood memorabilia.
· Craft Room – set up a crafting table, by using a large table with plenty of work space. Add in shelving units or other storage options to keep your craft room organized.
· Zen Retreat – make your new space into a Zen retreat! Clear out existing clutter, and paint the room in cool, relaxing colors. Add in soft pillows, candles, and decorative accessories to make it a relaxing retreat.
· Ultimate Man Cave – create a man cave that will be the envy of the neighborhood! Create a dream man cave by adding large comfortable chairs or couches, a big screen TV and of course favorite sports memorabilia.
· Walk in Closet – turn the whole bedroom into a dream closet space. Add in hanging racks, shelving and even a vanity to create a luxurious walk in closet.
PODS Moving and Storage provides different options to help clear the clutter without throwing out prized treasures and help customers create their dream room.
· Pack on the customer’s schedule. PODS can drop off and pick up containers at a time that works for the customer.
· Store items for as long as the PODS container is needed. When PODS picks up a customer’s container, they can store it for as long as they like, in one of the secure Storage Centers, where it will remain until the customer chooses.
· Get the right size container. With a variety of sizes to choose from, PODS can find a container that works for a customer’s project.
· Load the PODS container with ease. Since the PODS containers are at ground level, there are no steep ramps, making moving faster and more efficient.
· Call the Customer Service line. The friendly moving consultants can guide customers through the process of packing their belongings away, or even set up shipping the container to a new destination.
“Once the kids have moved out of the house, parents are often left with the question of what to do with the spare furniture and space left behind,” said Tim Preston, Vice President/GM pf PODS of Greater Houston. “With our wide range of moving and storage options, we can help clear out old bedrooms while retaining the memories there and still give them a space to create a totally redesigned room.”
