Rasdale Stamp Company is an internationally renowned stamp auction company founded in 1932. The family owned and operated company holds four Public Auctions (selling rare stamps and other philatelic materials) every year. The upcoming auction, which is company's 429th Public Auction, will be held from 10 a.m. on August 20-21, 2016.
The upcoming Public Auction #429 will run for two consecutive days at Rasdale Auction Gallery 37 Chestnut Ave., Westmont-IL 60559. According to the company's website, lots will be available for viewing at the auction location until 6 p.m. (CDT) or 7 p.m. (New York time) Friday, August 19th. Pre-auction bidding by mail, fax, e-mail, or phone will also end at this time — opening bids will be posted on the company’s website and updated till the last bidding day. Questions regarding any of the lots should be forwarded to the company's Westmont office between 8th and 17th August, 2016.
For the August 20-21, 2016 Public Auction, Rasdale will be offering 1,623 lots from 123 different owners. As usual, the live auction will be conducted in two sessions — Session 1 will begin at 9 a.m. (CDT) on Saturday, August 20th, while Session 2 will begin at the same time the following day. In contrast to past auctions, the company has introduced a few changes in Session 1. For starters, clients have been given two extra days to forward any lot queries regarding to sellers. Secondly, the order of selling the lots has been changed; the individual covers have been moved to the end of the auction to cater for in-house bidders and to eliminate the time inconveniences caused by internet lags during live internet bidding.
Public Auction #429 is well-balanced in singles and sets — from various continents across the world. Rasdale Stamp Company promises its clients that there will be a myriad of fresh collectibles and that both sellers and buyers will be gratified after the event. Clients can request for an advance notice of the posting of the 429th Public Auction via email. Sellers and buyers can participate in the auction using any of the trading options offered by Rasdale. Apart from in-house bidding (bidding on the floor), which requires visiting the physical location of the auction, clients can access the auction via the internet using the "Rasdale Live Auctions" platform. Alternatively, clients can join the auction through the company's auction agents. Finally, clients wishing to receive auction updates, news, and sales promotions are advised to subscribe to the company's social media platforms or to visit its website, http://www.rasdalestamps.com , for detailed information.
Although it specializes in stamps and coins auctioneering, the Westmont-based company also offers a huge variety of popular collectibles in all its Public Auctions.
