Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, August 06, 2016 -- The newly created role, reporting directly to the CEO, will drive Yellowfin’s corporate strategy to enable the vendor to meet aggressive “50 percent plus” year-over-year growth targets. Key responsibilities will include mergers and acquisitions, strategic technology partnerships and alliances, and investor relations.
Reeves accepted the position as Yellowfin’s VP Strategy and Corporate Development after joining the privately held company as its APAC Managing Director in January 2015.
“As Yellowfin looks to capitalize on its reputation as a leader in the BI and analytics software industry, we need to accelerate our growth and securely scale – from a medium-sized multi-national, to a truly large global corporation,” said Yellowfin Co-Founder and CEO, Glen Rabie. “As Yellowfin’s VP Strategy and Corporate Development, Martyn Reeves will use his more than 30 years’ experience, building successful sales operations and revenue streams for software companies across the globe, to shape Yellowfin’s future."
“I have every confidence that Martyn will provide the strategic direction and leadership we need, and develop the business and technology partnerships required, to ensure Yellowfin’s success for years to come.”
Reeves said that he was excited by the opportunity to rapidly grow Yellowfin’s presence in the global BI and analytics software market.
“Yellowfin has found strong demand for its approach to the reporting and analytics industry,” said Reeves. “Yellowfin is uniquely positioned, with its distinctly collaborative and embedded approach to BI software, to empower modern organizations to make better business decisions by connecting their people and their data."
“I’m looking forward to actively pursuing new strategic alliances and investment opportunities to bolster Yellowfin’s growing channel network and underpin fast-paced, sustainable global growth.”
Yellowfin has appointed Adam Chicktong as its new APAC Sales Director.
Other recent management appointments include the promotion of EMEA Managing Director, Peter Baxter, to the role of SVP Global Sales; Director of Global Channel, Daniel Shaw-Dennis, to the role of SVP Global Marketing; with Craig Panigiris hired as Yellowfin’s APAC Field Marketing Manager.
With a channel-based go-to-market strategy, Yellowfin has over 600 technology, distributor and reseller partnerships worldwide, which span every major industry and geography. Yellowfin is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with offices in Sydney, USA (Ketchum), the UK (Milton Keynes), Japan (Tokyo and Osaka), Brazil (Porto Alegre), South Africa (Johannesburg) and the Philippines (Pasig City).
