Hopkinton, MA, August 24, 2016 /PressReleasePing/ -- October is National Self-Promotion Month. It began several years ago when Debbie Allen decided that something had to be done to make it easier for brands to promote themselves. This year BRAVA Marketing Promotions urges local businesses to commemorate the month by finding fresh new ways to approach self-promotion.
The right promotional item can stand out in the mind of a customer, but your competitors may use the exact same promo product. Accordingly, you should not only invest in the right promo products but also in the right form of distribution—particularly, what you’re looking for is an innovative way to get your promo products into your audience’s hands.
There is still time to prepare for Self-Promotion Month but October will be here soon. Here are a few ways to bolster your company's brand - this October - using promotional products.
Host a Competition
Who doesn’t love a good contest? They draw prospects in and can offer an amazing opportunity to creatively promote your goods or services. You could offer a variety of promotional items to the winner and runners-ups. In this win-win situation, the participants revel in the thrill of winning the competition while you get to build your brand.
And don’t forget the contestants are all potential customers of your business. Additionally, they freely promote your business as they compete to win the top prize. Online competitions that are integrated with the numerous social media platforms is a great way to get new customers and positive PR for your brand.
Unlike other means of promotional product distribution, winners are more inclined to keep the evidence of their efforts; thus creating brand loyalty.
A Rewards Program
As a business looking to build your brand, you can create a rewards program to motivate clients to buy again. Of course, this creative way of getting your promotional gifts to your potential customers depends on the types of products and services that your business offers. For example, many coffee shops and restaurants offer a membership card to customers with the added bonus of a free coffee or meal after a specific number of purchases.
While having a high-quality service is great for repeat business, a rewards program can also be an excellent way to keep customers coming for more. The prospect of receiving freebies can spread quickly, and most customers always want to know they are getting more than what they purchased.
A Social Media Campaign
Distributing promotional items via social media has lots of benefits and can be an excellent way to promote brand awareness online. Your fans can retweet, share, and like posts associated with your campaign; which in turn gives you access to prospects that you would have never encountered—if not for the advent of social media.
One of the advantages with social media is that there is so much room for creativity. Social Media is the best platform for fostering engagement with your prospects, while inviting genuine customer feedback.
Another way that you can invite feedback from your audience, via social media, is to ask customers to help name your new products. The person with the best answer could earn a gift in the form of a promotional item. This translates into minimal work for your organization, yet could yield high exposure for your brand.
Business Conventions
While trade shows are among the most traditional means of disseminating promotional products, there are opportunities to make your brand stand out.
One option is to offer attendees an opportunity to get in on the excitement of a treasure hunt. As long as receive permission from the organizers, this way of giving your branded gifts away will leave a lasting impression on all who participate in the hunt.
Remember that at most trade conventions; nearly everyone is handing out promotional items. Most of these promotional wares find themselves in the garbage by the end of the day. Accordingly, you must engage your prospects in ways that are more creative than your competitors.
Company spokesperson had this to say, "As a business owner, you should always find ways to think outside of the box. Building your brand takes time and effort. We hope these suggestions will help you to capitalize on Self-Promotion Month by striking a creative nerve that ultimately results in exponential growth for your business."
