China - Bothbest, a leading manufacturer and seller of strand woven bamboo flooring, provides sturdier flooring compared to hardwood flooring. The manufacturers claimed that they follow a unique method for manufacturing the bamboo flooring materials and added that this kind of flooring is way harder and sturdier than hardwood flooring. They also maintained that strand woven bamboo flooring is highly suitable for high-traffic areas such as shops, hospitals, offices etc.
According to them, bamboo strands are first compressed hard under intense pressure. During this time, they also use a specific kind of heat sensitive low VOC glue. Following this, the poles are shredded into strands and the strands are then fused under high pressure. They said that this curing process helps the blocks to be sliced into flooring using T&G system and the coatings are applied in the final stage.
“We condition the strand woven bamboo by soaking the strands in Boric acid. Boric acid actually makes it pest-proof. Also, boric acid makes the cells dry”
“The density of strand woven bamboo flooring is well over 1100 kilograms per cubic meters. This kind of flooring is at least twice sturdier and harder than any other hardwood flooring such as oak flooring. Also, the floor has a rich texture owing to the woven process we follow”, said a top official of Bothbest during a press conference.
The official also informed that strand woven bamboo flooring is highly resistant to wear and tear. “Therefore, we recommend this kind of flooring for offices, hospitals, and other types of commercial spaces that are visited by a lot of people every day”, he added.
The China based company has its main manufacturing facility in Xuancheng, China and exports large volumes of manufactured bamboo flooring products to different parts of the world. In addition to that, the company also has a distinguished presence in the Chinese domestic market. The official from Bothbest maintained that they keep the operational and manufacturing costs low so that customized bamboo flooring solutions can be offered at competitive prices. However, he also added that they do not compromise on the quality of the products.
